Stik 27 fuselage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The main compartment under the wing is 5.5 inches long, starting 3.25 inches from the front of the fuselage side. \u00a0Measure back to 3.25 inches and make a vertical line, then another one 8.75 inches from the front of the fuselage side. \u00a0Duplicate these lines on the opposite fuselage side. \u00a0Don&#8217;t forget that F2 goes in front of the first line, and F3 goes behind the second line. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1378.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" of the forward piece on the firewall, and glue it in place with medium CA at the firewall only.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1381.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4760\" src=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1381.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_1381\" width=\"1200\" to glue the joint where the fuselage sides meet the floor, applying the glue from the inside of the plane.<\/p>\n<p><a sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Push the fuselage sides into place so they line up with the outline of the floor, and glue them from the inside with thin CA, straightening and aligning them as you go along. \u00a0After the entire floor is in place, add some light 1\/4 inch balsa triangle stock behind F1 and F3, and in front of F2.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1386.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4764\" src=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1386.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_1386\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1100\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1386.jpg 1200w, http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1386-600x550.jpg 600w, sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the triangle stock is in place, sand the top flush and add 3\/32 balsa sheet to the top in front of the wing saddle. \u00a0Note the bevel on the top edge at the wing leading edge. \u00a0It&#8217;s probably easier to bevel this sheet before it is glued in place. \u00a0If you&#8217;re one of those guys who likes electric motors, you&#8217;ll probably want to make this piece a removable hatch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1387.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4765\" src=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1387.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_1387\" width=\"1200\" height=\"537\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Add a scrap of 1\/8 balsa\u00a0in front of the vertical stabilizer where it comes out the top of the fuselage.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t get a photo of it at the time, but here&#8217;s a photo taken through the hole in the bottom of the fuselage, after the fuselage\u00a0was finished. \u00a0You&#8217;ll notice that the stick is crooked, but this doesn&#8217;t really matter. \u00a0What matters is what it looks like on the outside.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.balsaworkbench.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/DSC_1418.jpg\"><img to get the fin to settle in place.<\/p>\n<p>Get some more 1\/4 inch wide sticks either 1\/8 or 3\/32 inch thick and add uprights and a crosspiece about halfway between F3 and the front of the
