Midwest had two different Sweet Sticks. \u00a0The earlier one had a higher parts count. \u00a0The later one had a lite ply fuselage and a lower parts count. \u00a0My kit is based on the later plan, with a 54\u2033 wingspan. \u00a0I\u2019ve added tabs and slots to bulkhead #2 and #3 for easy alignment. \u00a0I\u2019ve also added a 3\/32\u2033 balsa skin for the last several inches of the top of the fuselage to make it easy for the \u00a0builder to add sheeting around the vertical fin.<\/p>\n

The kit includes two bolt plates for the front of the wing. \u00a0Place the bolt plates on top of the leading edge and the bottom spar as shown in the diagram below, and fill the space above with balsa. \u00a0Attach a hardwood block across the back of the fuselage bulkhead to screw your bolts into. \u00a0The kit also includes a 1\/16\u2033 ply reinforcement to be attached on top of the wing at the trailing edge. \u00a0Place a hardwood block inside the fuselage on the left and the right for your bolts to screw into.
