Description
Here’s a plane to make grammar sticklers bristle, the EEE Z Fli Bi from Model Builder magazine. It couldn’t be any easier to build, but beware of a few mistakes on the plan.
The notes on the plan specify +1.5 degrees positive incidence on the bottom wing, and a 1/4″ dowel for the leading edge, but the drawing shows +1/4 degree on the bottom wing and a 5/16″ dowel. Also, the bottom airfoil is drawn about 3/4 the height that it is supposed to be.
I kept the 5/16 dowel as shown in the profile drawing so the airfoil would match the plan, and I fixed the lower airfoil to make it match the top one. I cut the lower wing saddle at +1/4 degree incidence to match the plan, so you can either install the wing as-is, or cut the wing saddle to +1.5 degrees.
Other than that it’s pretty much like the plan.
