Here’s a dandy 25 size aerobat by Jim Rice.  My kit has a couple of deviations from the original plan, but nothing really major.

The fuselage sides on the plan are made from lite ply.  In my kit they are 1/8 inch balsa.  Why?  Because it just seems more sensible.  Balsa is lighter, stronger, less brittle, etc.  Also, I don’t like cutting just a few parts out of a new sheet of lite ply and ending up a bunch of leftovers.

The wing bolt blocks shown on the plan are replaced by three layers of 1/8 inch birch plywood. Because the fuselage sides are made of balsa, my kit also includes  a 1/16 inch plywood backup plate for each wing bolt block to spread the gluing area.
