Description
The Simpleton Biplane, for those who learned to fly foamies and ARFs and now want to try building a balsa airplane.
Features:
- Convenient 47 inch span that fits in the back of a car
- Can use any 40 size engine you have lying around
- Pre-cut plywood cabanes that you can’t screw up
- Square fuselage with no cowling or canopy
- Sporty look in spite of being square
- Bottom-only ailerons with wing-mounted servos
- Paper plan, sticks, sheet wood, and hardware included in kit
- It flies great!
You may have heard that balsa flies better, and that building is as much fun as flying. If you think you can hack it, take a whack at it. This project will get you going in the right direction. The construction manual is posted online.
The Simpleton 40 is a lot of fun even if you already know how to build. You could probably throw it together over a weekend.
If you want to buy but it’s out of stock, send an email and I’ll make more.
