In addition to being a good training tool, the 40 size trainer is also an excellent way for the experienced RC pilot to have a lot of fun.  I have always considered the Aerostar 40 to be the best of the classic 40 size trainers for ease of building, excellent flying, and durability.

My kit is offered with a bolt-on wing.  If you prefer rubber bands, just drill the holes and add some dowels.
