Description
Midwest had two different Sweet Sticks. The earlier one had a higher parts count. The later one had a lite ply fuselage and a lower parts count. My kit is based on the later plan, with a 54″ wingspan. I’ve added tabs and slots to bulkhead #2 and #3 for easy alignment. I’ve also added a 3/32″ balsa skin for the last several inches of the top of the fuselage to make it easy for the builder to add sheeting around the vertical fin.
Please specify nose wheel or tail wheel when ordering.
The kit includes two bolt plates for the front of the wing. Place the bolt plates on top of the leading edge and the bottom spar as shown in the diagram below, and fill the space above with balsa. Attach a hardwood block across the back of the fuselage bulkhead to screw your bolts into. The kit also includes a 1/16″ ply reinforcement to be attached on top of the wing at the trailing edge. Place a hardwood block inside the fuselage on the left and the right for your bolts to screw into.
